 Taster SUP Lessons

These one hour small group sessions offer you a taste of paddle boarding and teach you the basics. £35 per person including all equipment, wetsuits and changing facilities. These sessions are subject to weather and tidal conditions and the exact start time may need to be changed at short notice. The usual meeting point will be Dovey Yacht Club in Aberdyfi. The minimum age is generally 12 to take part in a group lesson although we can accommodate slightly younger children on some sessions.

Progression Sessions

These one hour skills sessions are aimed at people who have done some paddle boarding before but would like to improve their skills and/or find out more about paddle boarding in this area. £35 per person including all equipment, wetsuits and changing facilities. The usual meeting point will be Dovey Yacht Club in Aberdyfi but is subject to change depending on weather conditions.

SUP Estuary Tours and Longer Journeys

Our half day paddle board experiences are approximately 2.5 hours long and take place around high or low tide usually in the morning or early afternoon. We offer small group sessions of up to 8 people for £60 per person including all SUP equipment, wetsuits and changing facilities. As well as going over the basics and developing your paddle skills, we take you on a short trip up and down the beautiful Dyfi estuary. The usual meeting point is at Dovey Yacht Club. Sessions can be adapted for the full range of skill levels but you do need a good level of fitness to take part. These tours are usually available from early June until late September but we also offer a shorter mini-tour in the spring and autumn lasting approx 1 hour 45 mins and costing £50 per person

We can also offer a longer 'SUP safari' when the tide times allow. This is based around the high tide and involves a longer journey up the estuary towards Dyfi Junction. Please allow between 4 and 6 hours.  £85 per person. If you are interested please get in touch with the dates you would be available and we will try to find a suitable day.

Coastal journeys from Tywyn may also be available on some dates depending on wind conditions. These last approximately 2.5 hours and cost £60 per person.

Private SUP instruction

If you would like individual focus then we can provide one-to-one instruction. The charge for this is £80 for 1 hour 15 mins and could be a good option if you feel less confident or if you have already learned to SUP but wish to focus on specific skills. We also offer private couple SUP sessions for £50 per person. If you would like a private session for 3-5 people we charge £45 per person.

Update 18th July 2024

Wow! That was a busy May half term! We enjoyed taking out a mix of family, taster and progression sessions as well as some longer tours both up the estuary and across to Ynyslas. It really was a pleasure to meet you all (and to see many familiar faces returning as well!) and to have such a varied range of experience levels all learning something new, from holding the paddle correctly to step-back pivot turns and tidal planning on the estuary.

We are now running multiple daily sessions whenever the weather conditions allow (timings vary daily as our sessions are based around the tides). We recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance if possible but it is also worth contacting us nearer the time (especially if the weather forecast is calm). The last week in July and the August bank holiday week are usually especially busy so book as early as you can for then.

You can use the button below to make a booking request or alternatively email us at info@letssup.co.uk (including your contact number) or call 07486 511498 if you have any questions. We are also on TikTok so please follow us to see what we're up to!

If you are an experienced local paddler with all your own kit, please email us if you'd be interested in joining us for a social SUP in the autumn. We are planning the next one for Thursday 12th September (in the evening) and are happy to give advice on paddling on the Dyfi estuary.

You can also email us if you would like to purchase a gift voucher for use within the next year.

We look forward to you joining us on the water very soon!   Dave and Debs
